This project is the first chapter of a seasonal storytelling collaboration developed for Zhaori Weipin, a Chinese organic dairy brand built around the values of circular farming, holistic wellbeing, and a deep connection between people and nature.
Conceived as part of a broader structure unfolding across the seasons, this spring chapter began with an original children’s story written by me and grew into an extended visual system. More than a single illustration commission, it became a narrative project spanning writing, storyboard development, final illustration, animation, and packaging.
At its center is the guardian cow, a symbolic figure translating the brand’s philosophy into a recognizable narrative presence. Around this character, I built a visual world shaped by nature, seasonal rituals, organic food, wellbeing, mindfulness, and a sense of wonder, while keeping the tone poetic and accessible without becoming childish.
The project evolved from writing the story to visual pacing, from black and white sketches to storyboard development and final illustrations. The imagery was then adapted into motion and applied to packaging, allowing the work to exist simultaneously as content, communication, and product surface.
For me, this collaboration reflects a central aspect of my practice: building narrative worlds that extend beyond a single image and move coherently across storytelling, brand communication, animation, and applied surfaces.
This page presents the spring chapter of that collaboration, including final illustrations, animated adaptations, process material, and selected packaging applications.
